    Regular Services

    1.Informational inquiry service:

    General information or product catalogues of local lighting manufacturers are available for foreign buyers and related associations upon request by Tel. or Fax. Additionally, the TLFEA year Book and Buyers' Guide are available for reference at no cost.

    2.Requesting Assistance:

    Promptly handling and managing all international buyers' inquiries and requests.

    1.To circulate "Lighting Monthly" issues regularly and enrich its contents making it more professional, instant, creative, and lively.
    2.To add new columns in "Lighting Monthly" issues, providing TLFEA members with more information and serving as a marketing guide for this industry.
    3.To publish TLFEA year Book with the hope of promoting more business opportunities.
    4.To assist in the organization of activities and seminars providing education and entertainment.

    1.To promote the relationship between association members and non-members by holding KARAOKE singing contests.
    2.To organize golf contests intermittently to encourage members to take exercise to keep healthy and increase interaction between association members.
    3.To arrange hikes and outings for the pupose for relieving members' work pressure.
    4.To hold seminars on various subjects to the lighting industry to provide members with more information and professional knowledge.
    5.To establish service centers in Northern, Central, and Southern Taiwan providing the members with more services.
    1.To promote participation in "The 7th R.O.C. Trade Investment and Technics Consulting Mission Tour to Japan" bound for Tokyo and Osaka between May 8 and 15, 1996 and set apart the "Lighting Fixtures" section.
    2.To expand the market into the suburban areas of Japan, the Committee has asked for assistance in market research form the Japan representative office at the Taiwan Trade Center.
    3.To gather any information related to Japanese market expansion and claims.
    4.To request financial support for booth rental in the 1997 International Lighting Fair of Japan.
    5.To recruit TLFEA members to join the Committee of Export to Japan.

    Committee of Policy Advise
    To strengthen the Committee organization and services:
    1.The number of committee-persons in the Committee of policy Advise will be increased from the current 5-15 to 5-25. The TLFEA executive directors and the associate pioneers will be given priority for selection.
    2.To recommend that the committee-persons, according to their individual abilities, act as the consultants of the Committee to provide direct services.
    To promote the execution of TLFEA Quality Standard Mark. The Committee of Policy Advice would suggest the Committee of Illumination Technics to positively promote the formation of the TLFEA Standard Mark for quality products.
    To promote the establishment of a consistent category and representative code for lighting products. In addition to the TLFEA year Book, Buyers' Guide, and Lighting Monthly issues, which are published regularly by the association, the Committee of Policy Advise, for the convenience of associate members, suggest the Committee of Illumination Technics to make a draft for the establishment of consistent lighting product category and representative codes.

    Taiwan Lighting Businessmen's Club
    1.Making further effort to help legalize all Taiwan lighting associated. The Taiwan Lighting Associate Club has been allowed progression since 1995, and the preparatory meeting for the Taiwan Lighting Associate Club is being set up in Dongguang, Guang Tung Province in March 1996. However, it is difficult to make the associate club lawful due to the restrictions enforced by local law. The Committee expects to overcome the difficulties in near future
    2.To hold regional social activities for Taiwan Lighting Associates. Because the Taiwan Lighting Associates are located in various places throughout Mainland chinese, it is not easy to gather all the associates together. Therefore the Committee has decided to hold regional social activities. The first regional social activity book place during March if this year in Dongguang, Guang Tung and received good response. The Committee, for this year, will hold the same activities in other regions if there is no resistance.
    3.To strengthen relationships with and help the Association Members in Mainland chinese. The Committee will give as much assistance as the Taiwan Lighting Associates may need.
    4.To provide the associates with business information. The Committee will try to collect as much market information as possible and pass it on to the associate members.
    5.To provide consulting services for investment . The Committee will furnish the associates with information related to investment in Mainland chinese.

    Committee of Budgets
    1.To budget for the promotion of association activities and affairs, special project development, and utilization of human resources. The proposed budget will be evaluated and presented by the Committee of Budgets to the board of directors and supervisors for their scrutiny.
    2.As the regulations made by the Ministry of Finance indicates that industrial and business associations are supposed to declare income tax from 1995, the committee will invite professional accountants to discuss and manage such situation for preparing the budget for the succeeding fiscal year.
    3.The Committee of Budgets will evaluate the budget excess if any and present it to the board of directors and supervisors as reference for the examination and supervisors as reference for the examination and adjustment of the budget for the nest fiscal year.

    To assure the associate members' benefits and protect their rights, the Committee of Discipline will hold several seminars, as following, on the subjects related to commercial law, hoping to offer the association members with more knowledge of law. In addition to addressing main topics, the seminars also provide the attendees with a "question and answer" service. The Committee welcome association members' participation.

    1.Seminar for law consultation.
    2.Consulting seminar for Fair-Trade Regulations
    3.Explanation and consultation of Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits.
    4.Analysis of bonds and stocks investment.

    Additionally, if there are any business disputes, the association members can ask for assistance from the Committee of Discipline to ensure their own benefits and rights
